I’m interested in London as the centre of visual culture, during Notting Hill Carnival. I try to get closer to people’s different expressions and states of mind without losing the multilayered aspect of the event. I’m also fascinated by the contrast between the essence of the Carnival and some psycho geographical elements of the Notting Hill area.

My name is Matt Finch. I have been a photographer for roughly 6 years. I have a major interest in live band photography and am always looking for more assignments to add to my ever expanding portfolio / experience. I am Submitting 3 images from Bloodstock pen Air festival of the following bands: -

Last year Nottinghill Carnival weekend i was invited to an official press launch and Poison UK Concert where i was able to catch up with the Fay-Ann Lyons (Genre: Soca) She came over to perform along with many other artists from the Caribbean.

Some pictures I took at Notting Hill Carnival 2009, before I had a decent camera. Fantastic day, filled with great music, food, drinks, and most importantly friends!

Just come back home after two weeks of ride in France with our local crew. Lot of fun amazing trails in Chatel, Les Gets, Morzine and Les Deux Alpes. And here some results for sharing with you all… Enjoy & Have fun !!!

Carnival 2009 was a good year. The music, people, costumes and floats had a good vibe captured through my lens as i was doing radio work for the BBC 1XTRA’s Rampage show and Dj Drapes drive time show on Westside radio. Capturing the moments where every race no matter what politics are involved can enjoy what is Europe’s biggest street festival.
