Dougie Lampkin held his annual Trials School, supported by Red Bull, on Saturday the 8th of August. The venue was Addingham Mooreside where the sun was shining all day!
The day began with a riders brief in the shade of the Red Bull tent, where the riders met with the coaches for the day, including Dougie Lampkin, Martin Lampkin, James Dabill and Jack Challoner.
All riders were then put through a quicker tester section, so the coaches could divide them into two groups depending on their ability. Once these had been announced, they went their separate ways across Addignham Mooreside to tackle a variety of different challenges. The first group spent the morning with Dougie and Jack, tackling a few sections set out over large rock boulders, while the second group were encouraged through a steep section on the hillside by Martin and James.
After a delicious BBQ for lunch, the groups switched coaches to head back out for more trials riding! The first group spent the afternoon with Martin and James in a small rocky stream while the second group tried to make their way through a very mucky section with the help of Dougie and Jack.
The day ended with a demonstration from James Dabill who wowed the crowd with his very impressive party trick - jumping over a large gap in the rocks! Unfortunately, Dougie was unable to show his tricks on the bike as he had broken his hand the previous week at a British Championship Competition!
Certificates and prizes were then distributed amongst all the riders, including the most improved rider of the day, before everyone said their good-byes and headed home with very large smiles on their faces!!
